THILOGI EXPANDS ROUTE NETWORK, CONNECTING CARGO FROM LAOS TO GLOBAL MARKETS

Leveraging its advantage as the gateway to the East-West Corridor, THILOGI has been building a full-package logistics system, seeking to establish a seamless transportation chain that connects goods from inland Laos to international markets. This also contributes to boosting cross-border economic growth in the region.

Expanding cross-border logistics network to unlock Laos’ cargo potential

According to Laos’ Ministry of Industry and Commerce (MOIC), the country exported goods worth USD 5.09 billion in the first half of 2025, up 3.2% year-on-year, with agricultural exports recording impressive growth. Acknowledging its position as a vital link in the regional supply chain, THILOGI has been developing its goods transportation network in key areas to provide full-package logistics services for Lao businesses.

In July 2025, THILOGI launched its Lao subsidiary, THILOGI Laos Co., Ltd., in Attapeu Province, featuring over 10,000 square meters of warehouses, and a fleet of specialized transport vehicles and semi-trailers. The company offers large-scale trucking services within Laos as well as international multimodal transport, delivering professional, comprehensive logistics solutions, including packing, warehousing, customs clearance, quarantine services, transit cargo handling, international forwarding, etc. The expansion marks a key milestone in THILOGI’s development strategy to tap deeper into cargo sources from the “Land of a million elephants,” enabling it to manage vehicle deployment better, improve counter-trade, and increase operational efficiency on cross-border routes.

Mr. Bui Tran Nhan Nghiem, Sales Deputy Director for Laos Region, shared: “THILOGI is operating fixed routes from Attapeu, Sekong, Salavan, and Pakse to our Chu Lai International Port in Vietnam where cargos are exported to other Asian markets. In the first half of 2025, the port received over 700,000 tons of bulk cargo and over 1,000 containers transit from Laos.”

Developing integrated infrastructure and expanding routes to benefit businesses

Major highways in Vietnam such as 14D, 14E, and 14B, along with road networks in central Vietnam, southern Laos, and northern Cambodia are currently undergoing significant upgrades. Such infrastructure improvement, combined with THILOGI’s significant investment, offers importers and exporters in Laos optimal and effective logistics solutions.

In addition to expanding its cross-border transport network, THILOGI is also focusing on developing Chu Lai International Port – the core hub in its service chain of trucking-seaport-shipping. THILOGI has invested in upgrading berths, maritime channels, expanding warehouse facilities, and equipping them with modern handling equipment. It is also strengthening cooperation with global shipping lines to launch more direct maritime routes from Chu Lai to major ports in China, South Korea, Japan, India, as well as connections to the US and Europe.

Chu Lai International Port therefore serves as a strategic export gateway for Laos, enabling businesses to access global markets more conveniently, quickly, and cost-effectively. Goods from Laos can reach the port via Nam Giang or Bo Y border gates in just one day. So, combined with THILOGI’s full-package logistics services, this significantly reduces logistics costs, shortens delivery times, and enhances competitiveness for businesses.

VWith comprehensive investments in both infrastructure and services, THILOGI is establishing an efficient, sustainable logistics corridor, thereby strengthening cooperation, promoting trade, attracting investment, and fostering economic growth for both Vietnam and Laos.
