Chu Lai International Port, located in the Chu Lai Open Economic Zone, Quang Nam province, was constructed and put into operation in May 2012 spans 140 hectares. It serves as a trade gateway for goods in Central Vietnam and plays a key role in the multimodal transport model. The port offers convenient connections to railway stations, airports, major highways, and is a key hub on the East-West Economic Corridor. It also serves as a gateway to the East Vietnam Sea for the Central Highlands of Vietnam, Southern Laos, Northern Cambodia, and Northeastern Thailand. With these strategic advantages, Chu Lai International Port has strong potential to develop into a logistics center, driving industrial growth and effectively harnessing the region’s resources and advantages.

As a multipurpose, Chu Lai International Port handles a wide variety of goods including containers, bulk, liquid and gas, as well as oversized and overweight cargo, etc. It offers a full range of port services such as towing, berths and mooring buoys, cargo handling and tallying, customs procedures, ship agent services, warehousing, container repair, etc. meeting the import-export needs of enterprises.

The port is currently operating a deep-water berth system with a total length of nearly 1,000 meters, accommodating vessels of up to 50,000 DWT. It is also investing in a modern, high-capacity crane system to enhance loading/ unloading and handling capacity and reduce cargo handling time. In addition, the port is expanding cooperation with various international shipping lines, operating direct shipping routes to China, South Korea, Japan, India, and connecting to Europe, the Americas, and Australia, and vice versa.

The warehouse and yard system spans over 300,000 square meters with a storage capacity of more than 500,000 tons. It includes specialized zones such as bonded warehouses, CFS warehouses, cargo warehouses, and both dry/cold container yards, all designed to meet large-scale storage and preservation needs.
