With a convenient location, connecting international border gates on the East-West economic corridor, Truong Hai International Logistics LLC (THILOGI) promotes synchronous investment in infrastructure and upgrades high-quality full-package logistics services, in order to attract goods from businesses in Southern Laos and Northeast Thailand to export through Chu Lai port, contributing to trade connection across Asia.
Promote the connection of goods sources across Asia
From August 2021, the Nam Giang - Dak Taook border gates between Quang Nam and Sekong provinces (Laos) have been upgraded to international border gates, promoting cross-border import-export of commercial goods, connecting goods source from Laos and Thailand to seaports in Central Vietnam. According to the Management Board of Quang Nam Economic Zones and Industrial Parks, in the first 6 months of 2023, more than 8,700 vehicles cleared customs through the border gates with a total volume up to 57,909 tons; import-export turnover reached 48.45 million USD, an increase of 125% over the same period in 2022. THILOGI is one of the enterprises that transport and circulate the most goods through the Nam Giang border gate, significantly changing its appearance.
On September 7, more than 16,000 tons of bauxite ore from Thanh Phat Company (an enterprise dealing in agricultural, forestry and mineral products) was transported directly from Dak Cheung district, Sekong province, Laos through the Nam Giang border gate to Chu Lai port to export to China, marking Chu Lai port's full-package logistics services (including road transport, customs clearance procedures, storage, seaport...) for mineral products. A representative of Thanh Phat Company said: "THILOGI operates the route Sekong - Nam Giang border gate - Chu Lai port, shortening the distance by more than 170km compared to transporting through Bo Y border gate (Kon Tum). Thanks to comprehensive services and appropriate after-sales policies, optimal product-making plans have helped businesses save time and costs, thereby improving competitiveness in the market."
Currently, Chu Lai port promotes the exploitation of export goods such as agricultural products (cassava chips, fruits), forest products (paper materials, rubber latex), minerals (iron ore, bauxite ore) in Sekong province, Savannakhet, Champasak, Salavan... (Laos) and Ubon Ratchathani, Sisaket, Yasothon... (Thailand) along the route Northeast Thailand/Southern Laos - Champasak/Attapeu - Sekong - Dak Taook border gate (Laos) - Nam Giang - Chu Lai (Quang Nam province).
